Dr. Atwell joins Eastview Veterinary Clinic following her graduation from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025. She brings nearly a decade of experience working with cats and dogs, having worked as both a veterinary assistant and a student in clinical practice. Dr. Atwell completed her undergraduate studies while gaining hands-on experience at a local clinic and has a strong foundation in both preventative care and client communication.

Dr. Atwell’s favorite area of study during veterinary school was dentistry, particularly the hands-on wet labs offered through her elective coursework. She also enjoyed her Zoo Medicine clinical rotation, where she had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of species. Her medical interests include dentistry, internal medicine, and surgery, and she believes that strong preventative care leads to earlier intervention and longer, healthier lives for pets. She strives to work alongside clients as a team to create individualized care plans that best serve both pets and their families.

Outside of work, Dr. Atwell enjoys hiking and spending time in the great outdoors. Visiting all of the national parks is on her bucket list—so far, she has explored 13 of them. She is also active in her church community and participates in outreach programs. Dr. Atwell shares her home with two beloved cats, Minnie and Simba.
